Parents' and Carers' views are very important to us at Catshill Learning Community.

Speak with the class teacher

Parents’ evenings are held three times a year. Informal meetings with your child's classteacher can also help to answer questions or address concerns at any point in the year. You can catch them for a few minutes at the beginning or end of the day, and longer meetings can usually be arranged with less than a week's notice.

Speak to the head of school

As well as speaking to the class teacher, Mrs Plant is able to discuss your child's progress and behaviour with you. She will treat all information and views shared sensitively and appropriately. This should be arranged through the school office.

Put your views in writing

Make a complaint

We value our parents' opinions and endeavour to deal with issues quickly and sensitively. Your child's teacher and other staff are usually available to discuss any problems. However, if parents feel that they need to make a formal complaint, it should be made in writing to the ExecutiveHeadteacher using the proforma in the Complaints Policy (Policies section of the website) to:-

Catshill First School and Nursery
Gibb Lane

who will investigate and give a response within ten days. If parents remain dissatisfied, they can appeal to the Chair of Governors. The case will then be reviewed by a Governors’ Panel and a final response given within twenty days. A copy of the Local Authority’s Complaints Procedure and any other documentation to which parents may require access is available from the school office.
